AV Specialist

Looking for driven individuals to perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audiovisual and automation systems for commercial clients. We are not an AV event company. We are looking for professionals who have experience with AV commercial and permanent installations. The installation work will include pre-wire, trim out, and final installation. We also test structured wiring, audio/video, control/automation, telephone, and wired/wireless networks. Applicants should be motivated self-starters with the ability to follow, adaptive, flexible, resourceful, and be able to take initiative when it is needed.



– Read drawings and architectural plans.

– Wire pulling in new and existing construction.

– Installation of structured cabling to include pulling, terminating and testing cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI and audio cables.

– Fabricate AV racks.

– Installation of all AV equipment and displays to include: audio and video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, control systems, and all presentation systems.

– Mounting of flat panel displays as well as projectors and motorized screens.

– Designing and building AV racks.

– Installing, testing, and commissioning custom AV control systems.

– Diagnosing/troubleshooting/resolving service issues related to integrated AV Systems.

– Work with deadlines.

– Work as a team and independently. Lead the project and manage other AV technicians.



To qualify for this position you must be professional, personable, responsible, reliable, and be able to work well with clients and in a team-oriented environment.


– Must have 3 years of direct experience with AV systems and equipment.

– CTS certification preferred but not required.

– Must be able to work with minimal/no assistance.

– Able to read and understand architecture, electrical, structural & AV systems drawings a must.

– Must have experience with the termination of RCA, RJ45, DB9, and HD15.

– Rack fabrication and wire management a must.

– Structured Cabling Experience a must.

– Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, and control.

– Ability to test equipment and perform troubleshooting.

– Have knowledge and experience of troubleshooting Crestron, Extron and AMX control systems.

– Good Experience with uploading Crestron and AMX programs.

– Possess Biamp DSP Configuration and support experience.

– Must be able to train customers on the use of systems that are installed.

– Able to perform installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner.

– Must be able to safely lift up to 75 pounds.

– Be able to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.

– Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to job sites (location include DC, VA, and MD).

– Must be able to read and write at basic English proficiency.

-Must be able to pre-wire within established guidelines, follow quality control standards and written specifications.

– Proficient use of trade tools and ability to follow safety standards while working on construction sites.

AV Estimator

Looking for a self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented audiovisual estimator to join our team.


– Estimate and manage audiovisual projects;

– Engage in the pursuit and production of quality jobs to bid, respond timely to requests for bids, and secure contract jobs that will contribute to the profitability of the company;

– Review specifications and plans and prepare a bill of materials;

– Evaluate drawings and site surveys;

– Prepare materials, travel, & labor cost estimates. Assemble complete estimating packages;

– Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and unit pricing;

– Interface with VSSi team to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates;

– Assist engineers on any needs or situations that arise during the engineering process related to equipment or design;

– Establish, develop and nurture relationships with clients, vendors, reps, and manufacturers at the highest levels.



– Experience AV estimating and/or AutoCAD and project management in commercial AV and low voltage;

– Design and engineering knowledge of audio, video, interactives, digital media, control systems;

– Industry experience is required;

– Must have the ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision;

– Attention to detail, professional demeanor, thorough and logical approach;

– Must be able to multitask on several projects simultaneously;

– CTS and/or relevant manufacturer certifications are desired;

– Strong oral and written communication, excellent organizational skills, and solid customer service skills;

– Detail-oriented.

AV Sales Engineer

We are looking for passionate individuals who are inspired to go the extra mile while cultivating professional relationships with colleagues and clients and are innovative to provide the best service in the audio visual market.

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for acting as a technical sales engineer and negotiate the terms and conditions for the sale, installation, and/or integration of audio visual and related control equipment.

To Be Successful Sales Engineer, You Must Be Able to Do the Following:

-Possess strong communication skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

-Be successful in building relationships with clients and possess a strong customer service attitude. Feel interest, confidence, and creditability in the solutions being presented.

-Lead and assist the sales and project team with the design and development of high-end audio visual collaboration solutions unitizing the latest control system, video conferencing, unified communications, and video streaming solutions.

-Design and develop control system designs utilizing Crestron, AMX, Extron and other.

-Respond to RFP’s and develop written quotations, system designs, and schematics.

-Working knowledge and design experience with Unified Communications systems as well as video streaming and video conferencing solutions are required.


-Experience with technology sales and installation procedures to colleges, universities, corporate, state and federal government customers, along with knowledge of construction management and solid leadership abilities are required.

-Knowledge of current technology and trends in the audio visual field.

-Ability to communicate effectively with clients and co-workers.

-Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

-Membership or certification in InfoComm or any other pertinent audio visual industry programs is preferred.

– Must have excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

– Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

-Experience in creating proposals and quotes for clients;

– Must have professional appearance and demeanor.

– Superior time-management and organization skills

– A positive approach to big challenges.

Duties May Include:

– Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential new clientele. The responsibility is to acquire, secure and maintain Commercial audio visual contracts in Virginia, Maryland, and DC;

– Develop quarterly sales plan to expand existing client base and generate new business opportunities.

– Perform all aspects of sales and marketing for the company, to include networking, sales, advertising, public relations;

– Assess, clarify, and validate clients’ needs.

– Cultivate and managing customer relationships.

– Make cold calls to prospective customers. Seek out new audio visual opportunities by outside sales, direct leads, Internet resources and websites;

– Coordinate meetings and involve company personnel in order to meet client expectations.

– Create quotes and proposals for prospective clients;

– Other duties can be assigned when hired.
