Our Expertise

Horizontal Cabling

Any cabling used to connect the floor’s wiring closet to the workstation, wireless access points, wall phones, and any other data/voice location. We at VSSi ensure that we strictly adhere to all BICSI/NEC/ANSI/TIA codes and standards. Our team has expertise in the past, future, and present-day technology environments ranging from Cat 5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and Cat7 cabling configurations.

What extra mile do we offer?

We provide a measured slack of cable at both ends, which will help in the future in case of smaller adjustment or a relocation instead of replacing the older cable. Horizontal cabling must be precisely balanced to be structured, and we stick to a policy of installing a J-hook or any other cable support structure every five feet. Our labeling system is machine-made and legible, which saves a lot of time troubleshooting. The project management team continually monitors the job every week and assures all the cables are neatly structured and aligned. A perfect graphical representation of the job, commonly known as As-builts and Fluke certified test reports, are provided.

Backbone Cabling

Backbone cabling connects multiple telecommunication rooms, entrance facilities, equipment rooms, and buildings with each other. A manufacturing plant with various stock warehouses, workshops, security entrances, and offices can be efficient with backbone cable systems. The same applies to all widespread organizations such as colleges, universities, defense, healthcare, and resorts. A multi-storied office building also requires backbone cabling to connect all the Intermediary Distribution Frames to Main Distribution Frame.

Our Specialization

When designing a facility, it is essential to anticipate the communications needs both now and for upcoming years. By anticipating evolving data transmission and bandwidth requirements, more significant savings can be realized in the future. Our engineering team delivers a proper backbone cabling bandwidth and structure to accommodate the present needs, also considering the future. Simultaneously, we do not push high capacity products and only suggest a solution depending on the client’s needs. We at VSSi, suggest the right solutions to secure the expensive and essential backbone cable.

IDF/MDF Builds

Intermediate Distribution Frame connects all the cable end-user locations and through a backbone with the centralized MDF.  Deciding the number of Intermediate Distribution Frames and its location on the floor is an essential parameter in cable length usage. If the buildings are not planned telecommunication-friendly, no worries modern-day smart wall cabinet solutions act as Mini-IDF and save a lot of money, cable usage, space, and energy. Our experienced team is aware of all the latest technologies for your complicated space problems.

What value do we add for you?

We only suggest products needed for the client’s requirements instead of partnership marketing. We give dedicated time for structuring all the cables coming into the telecommunication rooms and recording the racks’ cable mapping plan. Then we provide a graphical representation of the rack elevation diagram, which will help the further move, addition, relocation, or a troubleshoot. We also do not compromise in the IDF/MDF components’ quality and strictly follow the manufacturer’s suggestions on the Indirect parts.

Rack & Stack

We offer Rack and Stack services for data center operations to support the commercial space’s IT teams and equipment rooms. We also provide documentation services such as rack elevation diagrams and patch cable layout plans. A successful rack and stack have many benefits, such as improving airflow within the cabinet, facilitating rapid installations and equipment modifications within the rack, and maintaining high-quality network connectivity.

Benefits of Rack & Stack

●     Increased Efficiency

A better communication system enables employees to respond with clients faster, even during break time.

●     Access & Availability

If we are suddenly adding an intern or third-party service provider’s employee for the time being and they can efficiently work without adding a data/voice location for them.

●     Flexibility

For a brainstorming session where everyone needs to gather at a conference room, wireless networks are beneficial for that situation.

 ●     Cost Savings

Wireless networks can be more comfortable and cheaper to install, especially in listed buildings or where the landlord will not permit installing cables.

●     New Business Opportunities

Wireless networking could allow you to offer new products or services. For example, many airport lounges, train stations, hotels, cafes, and restaurants have installed ‘hot spot’ Wi-Fi services to allow mobile users to connect their equipment to their ‘home’ offices while traveling.

Wireless Installation

Wireless networks are changing the world at a rapid pace. Your business also needs wireless networks for your employees and clients to stay connected at every place in the office. We install not only wireless access point locations, but also wireless devices. We offer Wi-Fi heat map services and ensure that every office site gets more robust network connectivity.

VSSi Structured Cabling Services

Project Design and Consultancy

Structured cabling projects without prior planning and expert supervision may end up creating future troubles. Moving into a new office space or renovation of the existing one is a daunting task and coordinating with many people and things is not a cakewalk. VSSi will work with you to design what you need regarding voice and data network, wireless access points, internet connection, fax lines, and Audio-Visual systems. We have developed a brilliant 28-point questionnaire covering all your cabling needs, including the components’ color and aesthetics. After that, we will provide you with a Telecommunication design package that can be used for the bidding process. It paves the way for easy comparison between contractors for the same configuration of work.

Move, Add, or Change (MAC) Services

Many organizations often undergo moving, adding, or changing their operating structure to meet the new business demands.

Our offerings under MAC services (but not limited to):

  • Upgrading to advanced copper cable Cat 6A
  • Renovating the workstations requiring new faceplates
  • Moving/Adding the workstation
  • Changing network switches or wireless routers
  • Adding/Replacing network cabinets or equipment in the telecommunication rooms.
  • Upgrading to Fiber optic backbone cabling.
Closet Cleanup

Tangled cables giving you a headache?

We at VSSi have seen many messy network closets gradually increasing the downtime in case of a troubleshoot.

What is the solution?

When these cables are appropriately organized, structured, and neatly labeled. Then troubleshooting, changing, and adding are simple. If the closet is clean and tidy, it will replace cables and upgrade to next-generation switches and servers at ease. Closet cleanup is a necessary investment; it generates a higher ROI. When we have a structured cable layout mapped and labeled, employees can troubleshoot themselves instead of waiting for a network technician.

Documentation services

Structured cabling job is only complete if you an appropriate labeling scheme, graphical representation (As-Builts), and test reports of the cable. If you do not have one, we are ready to do it. At VSSi, we maintain it as a standard approach to provide documentation with any size project.

Support and Maintenance

Maintenance of a structured cabling system is as essential as installation. Abandoned cables must be removed from the equipment rooms to be compliant with codes and standards. Better airflow within the cabinet ensures high efficiency and a higher lifetime of the devices. We at VSSi offer support and maintenance services for your cabling systems. VSSi maintenance team frequently checks for abandoned cable and irregularly added new cables, which improves airflow and reduces the power cost for cooling. Expensive network switches, firewalls, and servers are protected from premature hardware failures caused by heat retention.

We are here for you to support in case of disaster recovery, sudden system failure, and frequent maintenance checks.

VSSi

Why us?

We deliver a proper product.

We do not do the closet cleanup alone. Also, we offer a complete graphical representation of physical network components in the wiring closet and workstation locations concerning recent changes in the existing labeling system. If there is no current labeling system, we are happy to create a new set of labels for your company. Any future move, addition, or removal of cables, we update in the As-builts and deliver every time.
